In a bizarre collaboration that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Uncovered
According to the formal release, "A strange meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of banned ceremonies and fearsome transformations resonate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret group.
The questline focuses on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses
The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an unique katana together with numerous items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
